Operations Manager – Children’s Residential Services

Stephen James Consulting are working with a provider of children’s residential services in the search for an Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential homes across the North West.
This role will provide operational leadership and support to Registered Managers, ensuring homes deliver high-quality care while maintaining strong safeguarding practices and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting service performance, developing leadership teams and ensuring homes achieve positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities

Providing operational oversight across a portfolio of residential homes

Supporting Registered Managers with service performance and development

Monitoring safeguarding, compliance and quality standards

Supporting services through Ofsted inspections and regulatory processes

Driving improvements in care standards and service outcomes

Building strong relationships with local authorities and external partners
To be considered for this role, you will need
-
Significant experience within children’s residential services
-
Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Operations Manager or senior leader

Strong knowledge of Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015

Proven leadership experience managing multiple services
The role offers a salary of £65,000 – £80,000 plus a performance bonus, depending on experience.
