- Produce clear audit reports and oversee the development and completion of service improvement action plans.
- Review CQC inspection reports, contract-monitoring outcomes and other regulatory findings.
- Support Home Managers in addressing areas of non-compliance and responding to CQC improvement plans.
- Undertake specific investigations and quality reviews when requested by the COO or Board.
- Provide guidance to Home Managers when responding to statutory requests for information.
- Develop meaningful weekly and monthly quality-performance reports for the Senior Management Team and Board.
- Liaise with CQC, local authorities and other statutory bodies on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Monitor changes in legislation and ensure relevant policies, procedures and colleagues remain up to date.
- Develop policies, systems and processes that drive continuous improvement in care delivery.
- Influence the organisation’s learning and development strategy by identifying recurring quality and compliance themes.
- Lead the annual Service User Satisfaction Survey, analysing the findings and translating feedback into measurable improvements.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota when required.
About You
You will have:
- Significant experience in quality assurance, compliance or clinical governance within adult social care.
- A strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, inspection frameworks and national care standards.
- Experience of auditing registered care services and developing effective action plans.
- The confidence to challenge constructively while supporting Home Managers to improve performance.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex information into clear reports for senior leaders and the Board.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
- The flexibility to travel regularly across the organisation.
