RGN Home Manager | Elderly Care | Ayrshire

Stephen James Consulting is partnering with a well-established family run elderly care provider to recruit a RGN Home Manager for one of it's care homes based in Aryshire. This medium-sized purpose-built home located in a within a peaceful residential neighbourhood, conveniently located close to local amenities and community facilities, the excellent staff team provides nursing and short term respite care to the residents. 

This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced professional with proven turnaround experience to take ownership of a service requiring improvement and drive it towards high-quality care, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring safe, high-quality care delivery
  • Deliver turnaround plans to improve compliance, performance, and overall standards
  • Ensure full adherence to CI and all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Provide strong leadership and support to all staff teams, promoting accountability and development
  • Oversee budgets, resources, and financial performance of the service
  • Maintain and improve care planning, safeguarding, and clinical governance processes
  • Drive occupancy growth and enhance the home’s reputation locally
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, stakeholders, and regulators

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Home Manager within the residential and nursing care sector
  • Essential: proven turnaround experience within a care home setting
  • Strong understanding of CI regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to manage operational challenges and drive measurable improvements
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care

The role offers a salary of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum.
