Stephen James Consulting is partnering with a growing elderly care provider to recruit an experienced Home Manager for a newly developed, purpose-built care home in North Yorkshire.

This is a standout opportunity to join a modern, thoughtfully designed service that has been created to deliver high-quality nursing, residential, and dementia care within a comfortable, hotel-style environment. With contemporary facilities, bright communal spaces, and a strong focus on dignity, independence, and personalised support, the home has been built to set a new standard of later-life living in the area.

As part of the leadership team at this early stage of its journey, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, embedding best practice, and establishing a strong local reputation. This is an environment where quality of care and resident experience are at the heart of every decision, and where the successful candidate can genuinely influence long-term success and growth.

The provider is seeking a commercially aware and visible leader with previous home management and commissioning experience. The successful candidate will be a strong people manager, capable of building positive relationships, creating a high-performing culture, and delivering excellent operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strong leadership and direction across all areas of the home
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and excellent outcomes for residents
• Drive occupancy, reputation, and overall commercial performance of the service
• Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and company policies
• Lead, support, and develop the management and care teams
• Monitor quality and performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve operational objectives
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, professionals, and stakeholders

Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Home Manager within elderly care services
• Previous commissioning experience
• Nursing background essential (active NMC PIN not required)
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management
• Proven ability to drive occupancy and commercial performance
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards
• Passion for delivering outstanding care and creating positive outcomes for residents

This role offers a salary of £65,000 per annum plus an occupancy-related bonus, depending on experience.
