Home Manager

Stephen James Consulting is partnering with a unique care provider to recruit a Home Manager for one of their care homes in Medway, Kent. This is a medium-sized residential/nursing home that requires a confident leader to bring structure, stability, and clear operational direction. The role is open to both RGN and Non-RGN candidates. While previous Home Manager experience is preferred, strong Deputy Managers ready to step up will also be considered.

This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced professional to take ownership of an established service and continue driving high-quality care, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring safe, high-quality care delivery
• Maintain strong compliance, performance, and overall standards
• Ensure full adherence to CQC and all relevant regulatory requirements
• Provide strong leadership and support to all staff teams, promoting accountability and development
• Oversee budgets, resources, and financial performance of the service
• Maintain and improve care planning, safeguarding, and clinical governance processes
• Drive occupancy growth and enhance the home’s reputation locally
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families, stakeholders, and regulators

Requirements

• Experience as a Home Manager or strong Deputy Manager ready to step up
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance standards
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Ability to manage operational responsibilities and drive positive outcomes
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care

The role offers a salary of £70,000 - £80,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits.
