Deputy Home Manager (RGN)

Stephen James Consulting is working with one of its established elderly care providers in the search for a Deputy Home Manager based in Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinical leader to join a well-established nursing home set within beautiful surroundings, supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and strong regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Home Manager in the overall leadership and day-to-day running of the nursing home
• Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care at all times
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the care team
• Maintain compliance with CQC standards and internal governance requirements
• Oversee staffing, rotas, reporting, and daily operational performance
• Support occupancy growth and service quality improvements
• Lead, mentor, and support staff through supervision and appraisals
• Act as Home Manager in their absence when required

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse qualification (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
• Proven experience in a Deputy Manager or senior clinical leadership role within elderly care
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and clinical governance
• Experience working in dementia or older people’s care settings
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver high standards of care

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + benefits
