Home Manager
Stephen James Consulting is working with one of its expanding elderly care providers to recruit a Registered Home Manager based in Croydon, South London.
This service provides residential, nursing and dementia care within a well-established home environment. This role lets you lead a dedicated team, drive high standards of care, and play a key role in the continued development of the service.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing, developing, and evaluating all aspects of service provision within the home
- Leading and supervising staff to maximise their potential through coaching, support, and guidance
- Driving quality and compliance in line with CQC standards
- Managing occupancy, budgets and agency usage
- Embedding strong governance, audit and care planning processes
- Promoting a positive, person-centred culture across the home
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- At least 3 years’ managerial experience within Nursing or Residential care
- Relevant qualifications, e.g. NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance
- Proven leadership skills with a coaching and mentoring approach
- A track record of maintaining or improving service standards
Nurse-qualified and non-nurse candidates will both be considered, provided you have strong experience managing similar services.
The role offers £60,000–£65,000 depending on experience.
