Stephen James Consulting is partnering with one of our clients to recruit a Registered Manager for a children’s residential home based in the Staffordshire area.

This role is within a children’s residential home supporting young people with learning disabilities and emotional & behavioural difficulties (LD/EBD/SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the home
  • Ensuring high standards of safeguarding and care in line with Ofsted regulations
  • Leading, developing, and supporting the staff team
  • Driving positive outcomes for young people through a structured and supportive environment
  • Managing compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements
  • Building strong relationships with external professionals and stakeholders

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Strong experience within a children’s residential setting
  • Current or previous Registered Manager experience within a children’s home
  • A minimum of 3 years’ combined experience across Deputy Manager and Registered Manager roles
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations
  • Experience supporting young people with LD/EBD/SEN
  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards)

This role is based within a small, family-style home, offering a hands-on leadership environment with a strong focus on quality care and positive outcomes.

Salary: Up to £60,000 + excellent joining bonus
