Headteacher

Stephen James Consulting is partnering with one of our clients to recruit a Headteacher for a specialist school based in Rochdale.

This is an opportunity to lead a specialist school supporting children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs, providing high-quality education and strong leadership to drive positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing strong, visible leadership across the school

• Driving educational standards and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning

• Leading and developing staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils

• Ensuring the school operates in line with Ofsted and regulatory standards

• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• Working closely with external stakeholders, including parents and local authorities

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Previous experience as a Headteacher or senior leadership experience within a specialist or SEN setting

• Strong understanding of SEN / SEMH education

• Proven ability to lead teams and drive school improvement

• Experience working within Ofsted frameworks

• Relevant teaching and leadership qualifications

The salary for this role is £70,000–£75,000, depending on experience.
