Commissioning Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Stephen James Consulting are working with a growing provider of children’s residential services in the search for a Commissioning Registered Manager to open and lead a new children’s residential home based in the North West.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to play a key role in the development of a new service, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a safe and nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will oversee the full commissioning process, ensuring the home is established in line with regulatory requirements while building a strong and stable staff team.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the commissioning and registration process with Ofsted

• Developing the service in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015

• Recruiting, leading and developing the residential care team

• Implementing safeguarding, care planning and behaviour support frameworks

• Establishing strong relationships with local authorities and partner agencies

• Driving high standards of care and positive outcomes for young people

To be considered for this role, you will need

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare

• Experience working within children’s residential homes

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager

• Strong knowledge of Ofsted registration and inspection frameworks

The role offers a salary of £60,000 – £70,000 plus bonus, depending on experience.
