Deputy Manager
Stephen James Consulting continue to work with one of their established not-for-profit elderly care providers in the search for a Deputy Home Manager for a large nursing and residential care home based in the Midlands.
This is a key leadership role within a well-established service delivering high-quality nursing, residential, dementia, and respite care. The role would suit an experienced Deputy or senior clinical lead looking to support the Registered Manager in maintaining strong governance, quality, and day-to-day operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the Registered Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home

Providing visible leadership and support to clinical and care teams

Supporting compliance with CQC regulations, governance frameworks, and quality standards

Assisting with staff supervision, development, and performance management
-
Promoting a positive, values-led culture focused on person-centred care

Supporting inspection readiness and continuous improvement initiatives
To be considered for this role, you will need:
-
Experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse within elderly care

Strong understanding of CQC requirements and care governance
-
Proven experience supporting teams within nursing or residential settings
-
A hands-on, supportive leadership style with strong communication skills
