Care Unit Manager

Stephen James Consulting continue to work with one of their established not-for-profit elderly care providers in the search for a Care Unit Manager based near Windsor, Berkshire.

This modern, purpose-built care home provides high-quality residential and dementia care in a warm, inclusive environment. The home has an excellent reputation for person-centred care, staff development, and creating a supportive working culture where colleagues thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and motivating the care team to deliver safe, compassionate, person-centred care

• Supporting the Home Manager in ensuring the home meets or exceeds all regulatory standards

• Identifying operational challenges and developing effective action plans to drive quality improvement

• Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, professionals, and community partners

• Promoting a culture of respect, openness, and accountability across the home

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• QCF Level 4 (or equivalent qualification) in Health & Social Care

• Proven experience managing staff within a residential and dementia care environment

• Sound knowledge of MCA, DoLS, and CQC compliance

• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills

• A genuine commitment to high-quality, person-centred care

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus alternate weekends).

The role of Care Unit Manager offers a salary of £43,551 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, pension scheme, health and wellbeing support, and professional development opportunities.
