Stephen James Consulting continue to work with one of their expanding elderly care providers, in the search for an Operations Manager to oversee a small portfolio of residential care homes.

This pivotal role will be accountable for driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering the provider’s strategic objectives across all services. Reporting directly to the Board, you will play a key part in shaping and implementing operational strategy while supporting Home Managers to achieve outstanding standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the highest standards of care delivery and full CQC compliance across all homes

  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting Home Managers and their teams to achieve business and quality targets

  • Identifying and driving improvement opportunities across care delivery, staffing, and operational systems

  • Managing performance, budgets, and service quality to deliver consistent results

  • Leading the development of your team, including succession planning to support future growth objectives

  • Working closely with senior leadership to align operational delivery with company-wide strategic goals

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Significant management experience within elderly social care, ideally as an Operations Manager, Regional Manager, or Area Manager within a care home group

  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire high-performing teams

  • In-depth knowledge of CQC requirements and experience managing the inspection process

  • Demonstrable commercial acumen within the care sector

  • Experience in managing organisational change and driving service improvement
