Care Home goes from once Inadequate to being rated Outstanding in all areas!
A once Inadequate rated care home has been rated Outstanding in all areas following its latest inspection by the CQC.
The Close Care Home in Burcot was taken over by hospitality high flyer Sanjay Dhrona as a turnaround prospect five years ago when it was in special measures with the CQC.
Sanjay said: “I can’t stress enough this was a leap, I had no idea if I would have a positive impact, never mind save the business. The first day I arrived the first room I came to was the laundry, and that‘s where I started.”
Working hand in hand with the CQC, Sanjay took his hospitality background and applied it to turning the business around. Making sure the business didn’t rely on any one person, he appointed two registered managers solely responsible for the clinical aspects of the business. In addition a non-clinical manager was appointed to ensure the important role of the ancillary services ran smoothly.
