Home Manager

Stephen James Consulting is recruiting for an experienced Home Manager, based in Berkshire.

This large residential and dementia care home requires a strong, confident leader with proven management experience who can drive improvement, motivate teams, and deliver high-quality care.

The home provides care and support for older adults within a person-centred environment, and we are seeking a Home Manager with the vision and capability to lead the service forward.

You will be responsible for:

• Overall leadership and day-to-day management of the home, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care and support.

• Driving quality improvement across all aspects of the home, embedding best practice in line with CQC and Local Authority standards.

• Inspiring, developing, and managing staff teams to create a culture of accountability, compassion, and excellence.

• Building strong relationships with residents, relatives, staff, and external stakeholders.

• Ensuring compliance, governance, and effective resource management across the service.

To be considered for this role of Home Manager, you will need the following experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as a Registered Home Manager within residential and/or dementia care.

• Demonstrable experience in driving improvements and ideally service turnaround.

• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and the ability to embed compliance within the home.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

• Commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets effectively.

This provider offers a competitive salary in the region of £65,000 – £75,000 plus benefits.
