Deputy Care Home Manager

Stephen James Consulting is partnering with an established elderly care provider in their search for a Deputy Home Manager. This pivotal role will be accountable for supporting the management of a medium-sized residential and dementia care home based in Billingshurst, West Sussex.

This welcoming home forms an integral part of the community, benefiting from generous living areas and excellent communal facilities. The care and support are delivered by a dedicated and passionate team of carers and support staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Home Manager in the development and evaluation of all aspects of service provision, ensuring that legislation, policies, procedures, and codes of practice are fully adhered to.

• Assisting with the supervision and leadership of staff, enabling them to maximise their potential through mentoring, support, and example.

• Helping to establish and maintain an atmosphere and practice of care that reflects the provider’s values, centred on dignity, respect, and individualised care.

To be shortlisted for this key role of Deputy Home Manager, you will need the following experience:

• At least 3 years’ proven experience in a senior role within residential or dementia care environments.

• A strong understanding of CQC standards and experience in supporting compliance.

• A proven ability to lead, mentor, and support staff effectively.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

• Excellent knowledge of the needs of older people and those affected by dementia, with a genuine passion for delivering high standards of care.

The role of Deputy Home Manager is offering £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on candidate experience.
