Home Manager

Stephen James Consulting is partnering with an established not-for-profit elderly care provider in their search for a Home Manager. This pivotal role will be accountable for managing a medium-sized residential and dementia care home based in Lincolnshire

This welcoming home forms an integral part of the community, benefiting from generous living areas and excellent communal facilities. The care and support are provided by a dedicated and passionate team of carers and support staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• To handle, develop, and evaluate all aspects of service provision in the service, within policy guidelines, ensuring that all important legislation, organisational Policies and Procedures, and codes of practice are adhered to.

• To be responsible for the management and supervision of staff to enable them to maximise their potential, through leadership, mentoring, example, support, and mentorship.

• Establish and maintain in the home the atmosphere and practice of care based on the values of the provider, deriving from a concern for the individual and mutual respect between residents and staff.

To be shortlisted for this key role of Home Manager, you will need the following experience:

• At least 3 years’ proven experience as a Home Manager within residential or dementia care home environments.

• A proven track record of commercial acumen.

• Experience in managing organisational change effectively, leading to service improvement.

• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Have an excellent understanding of the needs of older people and those affected by Dementia, with a desire to deliver exceptional care standards.

• Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of care homes and CQC, be highly organised, smartly presented, a good people manager, and passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

The role of Home Manager offers £70,000 - £75,000, depending on the candidate's experience.
