Stephen James Consulting are proud to be representing an elderly care home provider in their search for an interim Operations Director, covering a large care home portfolio.
The role of interim Operation’s Director with provide strategic leadership across the portfolio of homes, whilst focusing on key drivers of business sustainability and the commercial delivery, the Operation’s Director will report directly to the board.
Principal Accountabilities:
- To ensure that all Homes and Services are fully CQC compliant, aiming for good ratings across the board and deliver on high occupancy whilst maintaining high-quality services.
- To build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders in the public, private and voluntary sectors, including commissioners and partners to raise our profile and secure commitment/involvement in the implementation of strategic planning initiatives and targets.
- Providing strategic direction, support and motivational leadership to the Operational Managers, leading on an effective performance management culture, and encouraging upskills to assist with succession planning, including for Registered Managers.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- The ideal candidate will have worked previously as an Operation’s Director within healthcare and should meet all of the essential criteria below before making an application to this position.
- A Minimum of five years’ experience of multi-site management, including coaching, performance management daily operations and supervision
- Have comprehensive knowledge of Regulation and Legislation in the care sector.
- Have demonstrable knowledge and experience of Safeguarding issues.
- Competency of managing financial systems and budget management.
- Experience of relationship and stakeholder management both internally and externally with families, carers, residents, and local communities as well as staff, healthcare and education professionals.
- A strong logical thinker, capable of sound decision-making, and able to understand wider business needs.
